Internship
One year internship, with six months in surgery & allied disciplines and six months in medicine & allied disciplines from 02 April 88 to 30 March 1989 at armed forces hospitals recognized by Pakistan medical and dental council.
 
Primary Health Care Services
Five years’ experience of providing primary health care services from 31 March 1989 to 20 June 1993 including clinics, on call and emergency work.
 
Abroad
Three years’ experience of working abroad for Royal Navy of Oman from 21 June 1993 to 22 August 1996 as medical officer providing primary care clinics, emergency and on call duties to the naval personnel, their families and civilians. Also spent some time at sea, having sole responsibility of the fleet during exercises and deployments.
 
Pre-Primary Training
Six months full time rotational registrar-ship in the department of General Surgery at Pakistan Naval Hospital Shifa, Karachi from 1s October 1996 to 31 March 1997 under the supervision of Brig Ahmed khan, M.B.B.S. (Pak), F.C.P.S. (Pak) and F.R.C.S. (U.K). The duties included looking after indoor and outdoor patients, emergency duties and both minor and major surgeries.
 

Six months full time rotational registrar-ship in the Intensive Treatment and Care Unit of department of General Surgery at combined military hospital, Lahore from 1st April 1997 to 30 September 1997 under the supervision of Lt Col Amjad Iqbal, M.B.B.S. (Pak), F.C.P.S. (Pak),Certified in Pain Relief(Pain Research Institute Liverpool, U.K). The duties included looking after indoor and outdoor patients, emergency duties and both minor and major surgeries
